C. Ross van Horn : Associate Consultant


C. Ross van Horn is an accomplished leader in management consulting based in Nairobi, Kenya. His core skills include group facilitation, executive coaching, change management, strategic conversations and organizational development. He has been working with team dynamics since the late 1990’s.

Ross has consulted in a range of organizations globally. Most recently he was involved in the development of products and services at Ignite Consulting during their re-igniting phase for a period of one year. He is now taking on the role of associate consultant to allow him to focus specifically on delivering to client needs, which are critical to Ignite’s success.

Amongst other engagements a sample of his assignments include leading an organizational transformation for a telecommunications company in Nigeria, training UNDP staff on coaching and mentoring, organizational development consulting for a telecommunications company in Bahrain, and coaching managers and executives for high performance in Kenya.


Ross has also contributed as a consultant, advisor and policy analyst to UNESCO, UNEP, UNICEF, and Institute for National Strategic Studies, The Nature Conservancy and Island Resources Foundation.


Mr. van Horn has been an associate and lead consultant in several consulting firms, including the Palomar Consulting Group. His work with these companies has enabled him to lead and contribute to unique assignments requiring versatility in training and consulting applications with numerous cross-cultural teams.  His experience working in various countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Gambia and Senegal make him an invaluable resource in Africa and the Middle East.


Ross holds an MA in International Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he specialized in international negotiation and conflict management. He is also certified and trained in a range of strategy and organizational applications, including Scenario Development (Global Business Network), Appreciative Inquiry (Case Western Reserve University), International Mediation (Erasmus University), Executive Coaching (Gestalt International Study Center) and a variety of psychometric self-assessment tools.
